The Tissue Culture (TC) Technician assists and supports the Tissue Culture Lab Technician in the in-house Tissue Culture lab with preserving, storing, and cleaning genetics. The TC Tech aids in preparing samples for third-party testing and is involved with pathogen testing that occurs in the laboratory. The duties of this individual may not be limited to the lab.
Assist in maintaining plant cells in the tissue culture lab, including subculturing, monitoring growth, and maintaining sterile conditions.
Assist with collecting data, preparing samples, and METRC data entry.
Execute against production plan by following the SOP's.
Set up and operate equipment, including microscope, environmental chambers, and autoclave.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and prepare reports summarizing experimental data.
Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols.
Maintain a meticulously clean and organized work environment.
Assist with dissecting and testing tissues or cells for viruses and other diseases.
Cut and transfer plants to fresh medium using aseptic/sterile technique.
Assist with plant media preparation suitable for the species to be cloned.
Able to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned within scope and training, including assignments in other departments within the Cultivation division.
Education and Experience
GED or High School diploma required. College coursework in biology, chemistry, or plant sciences preferred.rking experience in biological or plant sciences in subject areas such as Biology, Ecology, Plant Physiology, Molecular Ecology, or other related topics.
Experience with plant tissue culture techniques preferred.
Must be able to work independently yet be an enthusiastic collaborator.
Willing to take direction and learn new skills.
Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Must possess the following skillsets: organization, problem-solving, team player, and time management.
Experience with data entry: electronic and manual.
Must have strong lab analytical skills and be familiar with general laboratory equipment.

The Post-Harvest Technician is responsible for handling day-to-day tasks pertaining to post-harvest production. This position requires flexibility in assisting with all stages of the post-harvest production including, but not limited to harvest, fresh frozen, hanging and taking down plants in Dry Room, trimming, curing, METRC data entry, burping, cleaning rooms, green waste disposal and tracking. When it comes to daily tasks, this position will be flux and requires flexibility/ adaptability to assist within the scope of work (SOW) across multiple departments.
Able to trim 2-3 pounds of cannabis flower in an 8 to 10-hour trim shift while maintaining a high-quality product (approximately 4 ounces per hour on average).
Able to work with different strains, styles, and varieties of marijuana. Ensure that switching up of techniques is done when needed to make sure the highest quality is being produced.
Able to accurately label, hang and take down plants in dry room.
Maintain a clean and sanitary environment; including deep cleaning of all equipment, rooms, and areas as well as adhering to all sanitation practices concerning handling of plants or product according to Company procedure.
Monitor, clean, and maintain all post-harvest equipment and ensure it is operated safely in its intended manner.
Be familiar with all PPE requirements and sustain personal hygiene.
Ensure waste is properly stored, either in the Green Waste Bins or the General/Non-Green Waste Trash Bins.
Weigh, record, and dispose of Green Waste accurately. Perform plant destruction and plant waste destruction in compliance with department standard operating procedures and state and local laws
Ensure compliance with all sanitation regulations and safety standards in the production of all extracted products produced by the company as set in the company's Policy and Procedure Manuals
Employees must manage their time during work efficiently to meet goals set for them by management.
Proficient to advance in METRC and CCC regulations.
Ensure quality control. Ensures daily production schedule and goals set by leadership are fulfilled with meticulous care.
Report any identifiable contamination or unsafe practices to the Manager immediately.
Education and Experience
Must be 21 years of age or older as required by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission.

Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for up to 10-hour shifts. Combination varies and is required throughout the shift.
Frequent climbing, crawling, and reaching (including overhead reaching).
Constant movement of hands/fingers and limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
Constantly positions self throughout task at hand.
Frequently ascends/descends a ladder/scaffold to inspect/maintain/ work with plants.
Occasionally operates power hand tools and other cultivation machinery.
Must be able to inspect and detect quality deviations and defects.
Lifting up to 50 pounds required.
Use of sharp objects including scissors and razor blades
Constant exposure to dust, terpenes, cleaning chemicals and fumes. Although systems are in place to remove these byproducts, there is still exposure.
Schedule: Full-time. 4 x 10 or 5 x 8 work schedule as assigned. Generally, weekdays only but an occasional weekend day may be required.
